Latest News on Alumni - New University wide association - ub)alumni!

The University of Ballarat has recently employed an Alumni Project Officer to implement a new alumni association - ub)alumni.  The Alumni Project Officer is responsible for determining the strategic direction of the University's alumni program over the coming years. The Project Officer will also work with business)alumni to help improve and expand our services.

The ultimate objective of the University project is to develop an alumni operation which is committed to fostering lifelong relationships with the alumni community and nurturing an environment to support the continuing involvement of alumni in the life of the University and its ongoing advancement.

Alumni on the other hand, also have an enduring interest in the reputation of the University. It is in the interest of all alumni to ensure the University fulfils its vision of being a regional University of international standing and maintains a high standard in its teaching, research and scholarship. This is after all what adds value to the prestige of a UB qualification, which in turn adds leverage to the career prospects of former students.

The benefits and advantages are apparent, it is essential that the University nurtures the value of its alumni community for the mutual benefit of the institution and alumni alike.

For further information on the future directions for ub)alumni, or to provide any comments or suggestions, please contact Vivienne  Wittwer on ph (03) 5327 9929 or email v.wittwer@ballarat.edu.au.
